"Flying starts from the ground. The more grounded you are, the higher you fly." ~J.R.Rim

Now that Fall has arrived the crisp air nudges us to turn up the collar of our jacket and enjoy a long walk, hike a scenic trail, practice yoga or read the novel that has been gathering dust on the nightstand. Plan to go to a park and spend quality time with the people you love, then try to prepare for the holidays that are revving up to crash into our world beginning next month.

Catch Your Breath

Chaos! Deadlines! And those unending emails and phone calls. Sometimes we are working till 10 PM and still face an overload the following morning. But, unfortunately this is a common scenario if you are operating your own business. Even if you absolutely love what you do it can be daunting to say the least. Every so often we need to escape the madness and become the 'other person' who really likes to tend the garden and bake cookies or brownies. But it is tough to steal a couple of hours to do the things that relax and compliment our lives, even though it is necessary to keeping us grounded and go on to enjoy infinite success.

The Brownies Trick

It is important that your clients and power partners appreciate 'you' and the expertise you bring to your business, and value that you are committed to each and every one. Helps also to keep you grounded when you work with the type of client that is trusting and communicates freely, understanding and appreciating the qualification's you have to offer them.

Your Authentic Self

Amazing how some of the simplest acts enable your authentic self to emerge and draw you back into the center path where you can relax and and appreciate the smallest most insignificant thing. Leadership and responsibility can be a stressful roller coaster that is best balanced by reflection, celebration of your successes and of course baking brownies.
