“Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” A famous quote from a famous man, Theodore Roosevelt.
Yes! You made the commitment and set your goal, and you are now halfway there as ole’ Teddy said. Halfway through the year, at the 6 month point, is a fantastic time to reflect on your successes and calculate the next step in order to reach the goals you set for yourself. Re-assess the original goal because along the way you have concocted new ideas and added new contacts to the mix! And, what a wonderful time it has been.
Don't Be Afraid To Re-Design
Now that you are halfway through the year, you should take a moment to take a look at your original plans for the year. Don't be afraid to make any changes to your plan – those changes will only help you reach your goals. It is also time to take a hard look behind you and in front of you. You have built self-confidence along the way with each success. In the beginning our motivation level is very high but this peak falls midway through the process. That’s why we need to stimulate the process to move forward and manage to target the end more effectively.
During the last 6 months you have enhanced and cultivated support among your collaborative partners, built trust with your clients, and made new friends. The knowledge that you have gained has been immense. Each and every partner has helped reshape your original ideas. Now is the time to implement something fresh and new from your trusted circle to re-imagine the end. Grab every opportunity to revitalize the end goal that is now so very much more reachable. Place your emphasis on realistic results.
Relax To Gain Momentum
Do not overload the next calendar months with tasks and projects. Give yourself some time to breathe in the summer beauty of your surroundings. Take walks, enjoy nature, relax with your A-team, and reflect on where you have been and where you want to go. This will enable you to take stock and put everything into a clear perspective to eventually reach your hand over top and hoist yourself over the plateau.
“A dream is just a dream. A goal is a dream with a plan and a deadline.” - Harvey Mackay
